-===== Information =====

-Locomotive Software was a British company key to Amstrad's success during the 1980s. Founded in 1983 by Richard Clayton and Chris Hall, it was responsible for much of the system software that made the Amstrad PCW such a popular machine for offices and homes.

-For the Amstrad PCW, Locomotive developed the following fundamental products:
-
-  * __Locoscript__: Word processor.

-They chose "Locomotive" because they wanted a name that suggested power and movement, but was also easy to remember in the British technology market of the 80s.
-
-In many manuals and software boxes, the Locomotive logo appeared alongside the Amsoft logo (Amstrad's software arm), as Locomotive was their primary developer of systems and languages.
