One of the most prolific and organized user club publications. It acted as a hub for the Essex community, providing not only news but also a physical support network with monthly meetings at the Basildon Centre.
A> HISTORY AND ORGANIZATION
The South Essex PCW Club was an exceptionally active user group operating from the Basildon Centre (St. Martins Square, Basildon). Its monthly newsletter, The Disc Drive, began publication in the late 1980s and remained active well into the 2000s (club activity records exist at least until 2001).
Unlike other groups, South Essex stood out for its formal structure, holding **Annual General Meetings (AGM)** and maintaining a treasury for the collective purchase of supplies, such as inked ribbons for the PCW8000 series dot-matrix printers.
