Description
The legendary comic book hero created by writer Víctor Mora and artist Miguel Ambrosio finds a brand-new life within the circuits of the Amstrad PCW. This exceptional conversion, developed by Enrique Gálvez, is based directly on the acclaimed 1989 ZX Spectrum version. The original game stood out as one of the last major blockbusters from Dinamic Software during the Golden Age of Spanish Software, leaving an indelible mark on the 8-bit landscape due to its artistic fidelity and notoriously high difficulty curve.
The narrative plunges players straight into the Teutonic and medieval aesthetics of the original comic books. Your mission is to infiltrate the impenetrable walls of an ancient monastery that has fallen under the dark influence of necromantic forces, where the wicked Abbot Estanislao de Castiglione holds your beloved princess, Sigrid of Thule, captive. To succeed in this perilous rescue mission, Captain Trueno will not be alone; he can count on the direct and essential help of his nimble young pupil Crispín, as well as the colossal raw strength of his loyal companion Goliat.
True to Dinamic's classic structural design, the experience is divided into two distinct phases via a multi-load system, effectively offering two entirely separate video game genres within a single title. The first part is a dense and meticulous flip-screen action-adventure, where players traverse rocky catacombs and monastic chambers while managing a critical inventory of puzzle items. The goal of this first block is twofold and highly tactical: you must locate the hero's legendary sword and collect the sacred potions required to break the curse on the giant Labaz, a powerful ally who has been twisted into a mutated beast by local dark magic.
The second load completely breaks away from the steady pace of the previous section, pivoting into a frantic, side-scrolling action-arcade platformer. With the three heroes now inside the fortified stronghold of the witch Morgana, the game unveils its core gameplay feature: the ability to switch control in real-time between the Captain, Crispín or Goliat. This mechanic requires a deep understanding of the level layout, as each character possesses unique attributes needed to bypass hazards that are entirely insurmountable for the others. The port masterfully pushes the PCW hardware, making brilliant use of its multi-color Mode 3 palette alongside a tailored audio presentation that supports both the internal speaker and external sound expansions.

Hints and Tips to Beat the Game
• Stealth in Part One: The monastery's abbot employs ruthless guardians. Do not try to fight your way through every screen; often, the best tactic to preserve your health is to stay undetected by analyzing the enemies' movement patterns.
• The Labaz Puzzle: To break the curse on the mutated giant and advance to the second phase, you must thoroughly search the dungeons to collect specific items. Do not leave any room unexamined, or loading Part 2 will remain locked.
• Character Strategy (Part 2): Use Crispín to reach high platforms thanks to his superior jumping capabilities. Instantly switch to Goliat when encountering cracked barricades, heavy stone blocks, or dense groups of enemies at close range.
• Transition Access Code: Remember to carefully write down the access code granted by the game upon successfully completing the monastery adventure in Load 1, as it will be required to boot up Load 2.
