Description
The legendary classic from the Golden Age of Spanish software, originally developed in 1988 by the celebrated Basque studio Zeus Software (Ricardo Puerto and Raúl López) and distributed by the mythical Dinamic Software, receives an unprecedented historical conversion. "Hundra" takes us to a dark backdrop of Norse mythology and epic fantasy, where we embody the last surviving female warrior of a cursed bloodline. Our main mission consists of infiltrating inhospitable enemy lands to recover the sacred gems and avenge our clan, cutting our way through orcs, flying monsters, and deadly traps using swordplay and feline reflexes within a highly difficult layout of interconnected flip-screens.

This outstanding modern adaptation developed by Enrique G. Gálvez for the Amstrad PCW lineup and compact systems like the PCW# mini stands as a landmark achievement in retro software engineering. Far from settling for a basic raw dump, this port makes history as the first software on the scene to fully exploit the elusive Video Mode 3 of the Amstrad PCW Plus. Thanks to this breakthrough, the title offers three user-selectable graphics modes: a crisp monochrome mode for classic monitors, an intermediate 4-color mode, and a spectacular extended palette of 16 colors with hardware-optimized attributes on compatible systems.

The audio department is another major triumph of this preservation effort: it adds music and sound effects through the internal speaker (buzzer) during real-time gameplay, brilliantly complemented by a dedicated intro melody composed specifically for DK'Sound hardware. An essential piece of digital collector's item that dignifies the Amstrad PCW catalog.

Q Key:Jump / Move Upwards (Redefinible)
A Key:Crouch / Drop Down Platforms (Redefinible)
O Key:Walk Leftwards (Redefinible)
P Key:Walk Rightwards (Redefinible)
SPACEBAR:Attack with Sword / Primary Action (Redefinible)
Gameplay Tips & Strategy Guide
• Choose Your Video Mode Wisely: Evaluate your hardware setup when launching the software. If playing on a real Amstrad PCW Plus or a machine emulated with Plus features enabled, make sure to select Video Mode 3 to experience the full 16-color palette display with hardware attributes.

• Map Controls in the Main Menu: Take full advantage of the integrated key redefinition feature before starting your journey. If the classic standard layouts (Q/A/O/P/Space) don't match your arcade preferences, remap them to execute tight platform jumps smoothly.

• King Jorund's Rescue & the God Loki: To successfully beat the game, you must penetrate deep into the labyrinthine Realm of Lukx. Your core campaign objective is to free King Jorund, who has been trapped in the royal dungeons by the fierce army of the evil god Loki.

• Collect the Three Sacred Gems: Hidden throughout the vast enemy fortress lie 3 mystical artifacts of ancient power. Locating and grabbing all of them is an absolute requirement to shatter the magical seal protecting the final throne room.

• Master Strict Jump Momentum: The warrior's jump physics feature a strict 8-bit momentum engine. Always calculate the distance to floating ledges down to the millimeter, and avoid swinging your sword mid-air unless it is strictly necessary to clear out hazards.

• Mind the Enemy Respawn Timers: Orcs and flying monstrosities respawn automatically every time you transition into a new screen. Stand completely still for a second upon entering any chamber to analyze their flight vectors and patrol patterns before making a move.
