Publinfor was the entity responsible for professionalizing the Amstrad-dedicated press in Portugal. Operating from its headquarters at Rua da Artilharia Um, 79 in Lisbon, it established a direct connection with microcomputer users in a Portuguese market that was in the midst of a technical boom in the late 80s.

Its greatest milestone was the local edition of Amstrad Magazine, published monthly from its start in 1988 until December 1989. The publication stood out for its high print quality and for being the official communication channel for thousands of Portuguese users, closing its cycle with a special edition merging issues 15 and 16.
