RETROMADRID 2018

PCWwiki joins for its second consecutive year the RetroMadrid 2018 event, held on April 28th and 29th at the Daoiz y Velarde cultural center (located in Madrid's Retiro district). For more information, visit the following link: RetroMadrid 2018 - We are back!

RetroMadrid is the evolution of one of the world's largest classic computing fairs. Since 1995, it has grown and developed to host all the systems that made the microcomputing revolution possible.

The Association of Classic Computing Users (AUIC), the non-profit entity organizing RetroMadrid, aims through this festival to promote and provide a space for the knowledge of computing origins and history, as well as to preserve and encourage the dissemination of these systems that were protagonists in the birth of the information society.

PCWwiki is back in action

Once again, our colleague and "PCW GOD", the Master Habi Soft, presents the Amstrad PCW color project before the eyes of hundreds of people. They are amazed at how a monochrome computer is converted through an FPGA into a computer with 4 modes, perfectly emulating PC-CGA computers.

Our dream came true: the veteran Jon Ritman, one of the best programmers of the 80s, surprises us at the event by signing video games of his creation thirty years later. Jon, who hasn't lost his passion for 8 and 16-bit computers, is astonished by the latest creations in the exhibition, including the color PCW by our genius and colleague Habi.
