TECHNICAL DATA SHEET

PCW Magazine was one of the most anticipated publications, born to fill the information gap suffered by the Amstrad PCW user community. It represented one of the most ambitious yet fleeting editorial projects in the Spanish Amstrad ecosystem.
Issue 1 was published in January 1991, with a second issue announced for July 1991. However, no further issues were released, evidencing commercial difficulties as the market transitioned toward PC compatibles.
Its objectives were to provide local technical support, specialized professional sections, and community interaction through code listings and mail sections.
EDITORIAL FOCUS
- [#] Local Technical Support: Prioritizing Spanish hardware/software analysis.
- [#] Specialized Sections: Professional training and gaming guides.
AN UNEXPECTED END
The aggressive shift towards 16-bit systems and Windows in 1991 turned PCW Magazine into a rare collector's piece.
