Description
The cyberpunk world of Switchblade arrives on the Amstrad PCW series thanks to this brilliant conversion by Enrique Gálvez, based directly on the acclaimed ZX Spectrum version. In this adventure, you embody Hiro, a technological warrior from the sacred order of the Blade Knights. Your mission is to infiltrate the maze-like underworld of the floating megacity UnderCity to restore the mythical Fireblade.

The ancient central mainframe HAVOK has awakened with apocalyptic intent, breaking the sacred sword into sixteen fragments scattered across the labyrinth. Throughout your incursion, you must traverse an extensive continuous map divided into multiple rooms filled with traps and platforms, where careful exploration is as crucial as quick combat reflexes.

The combat system features a power bar that charges depending on how long you hold down the attack key, allowing you to execute everything from quick short-range strikes to devastating energy-charged cyber attacks. To fight your way through mutants, haywire droids, and automated defense systems, Hiro can collect an arsenal of power-ups that enhance his abilities, including throwing daggers, flame orbs that act as a shield, and long-range laser blasts.

In addition to combat, the game requires you to manage an interactive inventory to use security keys, detonate mines to clear blocked pathways, and consume medical supplies to replenish your health bar. Prepare to guide Hiro through industrial depths, leaping over infected pits and mapping out the labyrinth. The survival of civilization depends on you recovering all sixteen fragments and reforging the mythical Fireblade. The battle inside HAVOK's circuits has begun!

Strategy Guide & Survival Tips
• Mainframe Power Bar Management: The combat core relies on holding down the attack key to fully charge your tactical energy meter. Releasing a max-power strike completely dismantles mechanical hazards in a single impact, avoiding fatal contact damage.

• Strategic Mine Deployment: Do not waste your destructive ordnance inventory against standard security threats. Explosive charges are mandatory for fracturing crumbling structural corners and specific floor blocks to unearth missing blade elements.

• Fireblade Reconstruction Protocol: UnderCity's sub-level environment features a complex non-linear layout. Prioritize extensive perimeter mapping to recover all 16 missing blade fragments before descending toward the core.

• Eliminating Mainframe HAVOK: Conserve long-range laser modifications and protective flame elements for the terminal chamber. Maintain mid-range spacing from the master CPU core, evading reactive kinetic defense pillars while firing full-charge blasts.
